bluegrass banjo tab collection
for the serious bluegrass banjo student
This is a set of tabs of 99 essential and classic bluegrass banjo solos, (see list below,) that I have developed over the years for my students. It is not an instruction manual for beginners.
These easy-to-read (LARGE) tabs are printed on photocopied, 3 hole-punched sheets intended to go into your own binder. They are all excellent arrangements of well-known bluegrass banjo standards for any serious banjo student who is at least at the advanced beginner or intermediate level. With this collection, I have carefully created arrangements that I felt were either very mainstream and definitive or, if a song does not really have a definitive version, then I arranged something that made a lot of musical sense, sounded good and "real" yet was easy enough to learn play.
